Wozniak, who was speaking at the World Tech Summit 2023 in San Jose, California, suggested that while AI holds vast potential for enhancing various sectors, it could also lead to a new era of sophisticated fraud that's much harder to detect.

"AI is an incredible tool. It's already revolutionizing numerous industries, including cybersecurity," Wozniak said. "However, we must also consider the other side of the coin. As AI becomes more advanced, so do the potential methods for digital fraud. It's a cat-and-mouse game, and we need to ensure that we don't fall behind."

He emphasized the need for continuous innovation in cybersecurity measures to counterbalance these potential threats. Wozniak urged companies and governments to invest more in research and development to stay ahead of malicious use of AI.

"We need a stronger focus on developing advanced, intelligent security measures," Wozniak added. "Only by doing so can we hope to keep pace with the ever-evolving landscape of AI-assisted fraud."
